Small quantities and reliable supply are in demand by spring manufacturers coming to terms with busy order books.
This was the message that Alloy Wire International (AWI) was getting during its attendance at SMI Metal Engineering Expo in the United States recently and one that it was able to respond to thanks to sustained investment in stock and its vast range of alloys.
Visitors to the firm’s high profile stand were able to chat to experts about their current and future requirements and were impressed with the touchscreen display that gave them the opportunity to review materials, their properties and suitable applications.
Stephen Olley, Sales Executive at AWI, was making his debut at SMI Metal Engineering Expo:
“It was a very good event, with lots of our spring making customers visiting and a number of new leads being generated.
“There seemed to be a lot of optimism within the spring manufacturing sector, although visitors were quick to stress the importance of being able to buy in small quantities and a reliable source to meet the end user’s desire to receive goods quickly.”
He concluded: “The eye-catching display certainly captured the imagination and we even took one enquiry on the stand that has already led to an order!”
