Datasheet: RW 41
Ultra High Strength Hot Cutting Wire
RW 41 has exceptional strength at elevated temperatures and is the highest performing hot cutting wire Alloy Wire International offer. It has an excellent track record for working continuously and on oscillating cutting frames.
To achieve the best cut, adjust the temperature and cutting speed. The material type and it’s density will influence the cutting speed.
Available in all profile options
RW 41 offers the following key features:
Exceptional strength at elevated temperatures and is the highest performing hot cutting wire we offer.
Production lines cutting foam polystyrene (EPS), thermal laminate materials etc. Excellent track record for working continuously and on oscillating cutting frames.
RW 41 density, electrical resistivity at 20°C, operating temperature, melting point and coefficient of expansion is indicated in the table below:
|Density||Electrical Resistivity at 20°C||Maximum Operating Temperature||Melting Point||Coefficient of Expansion|
|8.25 g/cm³||131 microhm • cm||300 °C||1345 °C||13.6 µm/m °C (20 – 100 °C)|
|0.298 lb/in³||788 ohm. Circ. mil/ft||572 °F||2450 °F||7.41 x 10-6 in/in °F (70 – 212 °F)|
