Titanium Grade 5 / 6Al4V

Titanium Grade 5 has good tensile properties at ambient temperature and a useful creep resistance up to 300°C (570°F). Resistance to fatigue and crack propagation is excellent.

Like most titanium alloys, Grade 5 has outstanding resistance to corrosion in most natural and many industrial process environments.

Titanium Grade 5 is also known as Titan Grade 5 and Allvac 6-4.

Key Features

Excellent strength to weight ratio.
Higher strength at ambient temperatures than Grades 1 and 2.
Good creep resistance up to approx. 300°C (570°F).
Outstanding resistance to corrosion in most natural and many industrial process environments.
Approximately half the density of nickel alloys.
