This alloy was developed to broaden the application range
of one alloy.
With the addition of Copper to the
Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum system, Hastelloy C-2000 is
resistant to an extensive range of corrosive chemicals,
including sulphuric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids.
The combination of Molybdenum and Copper provide excellent
corrosion resistance to reducing media, while the high
Chromium content gives good oxidising resistance.
